Hi all, new to the Forum, have a simple question, I currently own a 1991 Ranger XLT extended cab, wondering if I can just swap out a 91 shortbox with my bed.....not sure of the configurations..so I thought I would ask the more knowledgeable folks here...thanks for any input

 

I am not an expert at the older Rangers, but based on pictures I googled, it appears the short bed version is the same. Pay attention to the mounting holes... they will need to be the same configuration.

 

That should work. Your ext. cab has a 6ft bed. Rangers only came with a 6ft or a 7ft bed. The 7ft (or "long bed") was somewhat rare. As long as it's a mother 6ft bed, it should fit your truck.
