ok, i have a 75 f100 ranger xlt for about 20yrs now! just bought a 98 sport an 99 xlt extended! love the trucks!! the 98 sport 5speed 3.0 all of a sudden wont shift! was told clutch slave cylinder! pulled tran and replaced, trying to put unit back in and cant seem to close last inch! now, im doing this on the floor in my garage by myself! this unit is a bear! the throwout bearing appears to be against the clutch and spline appears to be going in! but i may not have enough behind, behind me to push this beast all the way in! is it possible that i may need to draw unit together with bolts? everything lines up great! the haynes book doesnt go into much detail! ant advise would be much welcomed!
