Obviously I've got a bit invested in this truck, and it is a great ride! I was just about to order a new suspension lift with new wheels and tires, but I decided to go a different direction and get an off road toy. This F150 is very clean and very well maintained. Everything works, the truck runs strong, shifts great, rides great, looks good, etc. It has been a great daily driver, and would also be a great truck for someone wanting to run a bigger suspension lift, being that I already re-geared and locked both axles. The traction bars really stabilize the rear and prevents the typical F150 axle hop common with larger tires. I wanted the truck to be very capable and multi-purpose, while keep a clean low key look. It cruises comfortable at 70+, tows well, hauls well, etc. Almost all of the miles are highway commuting, I really never got a change to use the truck the way that I intended.
There are a few small things worth pointing out on the truck. The front bumper has the typical rock chips and scratches that you would expect on a painted bumper with 75k miles. The front edges of the rear bumper also have a few rock chips. The front and rear blue oval Ford logos look a little rough, they are cheap from the dealer I just haven't got around to it as it is a minor cosmetic issue. The rear bumper has a small dent on the passenger side, there is no paint missing and it is only noticeable in the right lighting. Otherwise the truck is in great shape and very clean. I'm extremely careful where I park, and the truck is not riddled with doors dings or scratches. Aside from the bumper the paint is in excellent condition.
This truck is regularly maintained and it shows. Every 3k miles the tires are rotated, the oil and filter changed at the dealer with motorcraft oil and filters.
Also, you can disregard the frame mounted square tubes under the bed. They are bolt-on tie-downs for a lightweight camper that I had for a short time. I will be removing them as time allows.
Judging by KBB private party value and the extensive costs of the add-ons, I'm asking $21,500 obo.
Best contact is by email or phone. I'm frequently offshore and away from cell service so email really is best. The truck is located in Hillsboro, Oregon.

traction bars
I like the traction bar set up you have on your truck, Im trying to get ahold of zabeard to see If he will make me a set but he is no longer in this sight. Do you have any contact info for him. Also did the bars limit your rear suspension articulaction? thanks

Hey! Sorry guys, at a 16+ day training session at a new job.
The truck has a 5.4l, and the tool box came from lowes. It's just a basic small lower profile box to keep a couple tools out of the cab.
The sway bar is disconnected on one side with the end link stuff up by the spare tire, smoother ride that way.
The traction bars work great, and don't seem to affect articulation as far as I can tell.
The 4.56 gears rock with the 35s. Tons of power, still great on the highway, just how it should be!
I know someone tried to send a pm and my inbox is full. Feel free to email choppedair (at) gmail (dot) com

I'm ashamed to admit this, but I'm looking at ordering a new Jeep Wrangler rubicon unlimited six speed. Thinking about a 3.5" lift, flat fenders, 37s, 5.13s, and a tent/camper top. Search "jk habitat" and you'll see what I'm talking about.

traction bars
My F150 is set up similar to yours, I do alot of fast beach driving with it and the axle wrap and wheel hop is terrible. I think the traction bars will fix it. Do you have zabeard's contact info?
#15
I don't have contact info off hand. But I can tell you that we waited on ballistic fab for several months to send parts for the traction bars anyway, and the front mounts needed to be cut and welded on. We came up with the mounting solution to the axle u-bolts, but factory u bolts probably don't have enough extra threads to do it this way anyhow. I think there are a few off the shelf traction bar kits for the f150 now, if you dig around the f150 websites you'll probably find some.
Or I'll sell you mine for, oh around $20-21k and thrown in the truck for free?
Where exactly in Louisiana are you doing "a lot" of beach driving anyway? I don't see much beach down here!

I go fishing at the Padre Island National Seashore in texas several times a year. It is 60 miles of beach that you can only get to with a 4 wheel drive. The first time I took my f150 out there I smoked all the shocks so I did some Icon coilovers up front and bilstien 5100 in the rear. Now I just have to get these tracion bars done and the truck should be pretty well sorted. I was trying to avoid the time involved with fabing a set myself but I guess thats my only option. The off the shelf traction bars avalible are not what im looking for.

I hope this truck doesn't sell for a while, after I sign the contract with a job I'm gonna look into gettting a loan for this truck.
I'm being serious too, after truck shopping for a while I'd rather get something I know the maintenance history of. What engine wok has been done?

I'm back from work and I'll be home for a couple of weeks. I forget how much I love driving this truck! lol
Regardless, I want to order a new Jeep and I'm hoping to sell the truck before I head back to work in two weeks.
New asking price is $20,000

HOLY COW!!! Brian is back in PDX!!!
Looks like I'll be texting you. haha. It's a shame I can't allow myself the purchase of your well built, very well taken care of truck. I've seen your past rigs in person.... very clean and nice. I so would if I could. If only this were 6 months from now. I'll give you a holler!

What's up Shane!?
I moved back last June, bought a house in hillsboro in September.
For now I actually work in Louisiana, two weeks on, two off. Not a bad schedule but the traveling is hell, and getting insanely expensive!
