Why not get the hood that goes with it? It would be a power dome as well.

The newer power dome hoods aren't as tall, and it wouldn't be hard to modify since its fiberglass. Besides I already have a spare 01-03 hood but I want the look of the newer grill.

It looks like if you trim the 03 hood it might work, how are you going to get a finished edge though? This is gonna be a cool project to watch nonetheless.

On a second look, where the 03 grille meets the hood it looks like it slopes down a lot and the 04 continues straight. Does your 04 parts truck have a hood that you can compare them on?

I'd think it would be easier to make a power dome on the 04+ hood with fiberglass or something. Instead of messing with the leading edge.

lol cut the 01-03 dome off the hood and make it higher and use filler to compensate for the new grill.

01-03 powerdome with 04-08 grille would be killer! I think it's possible. Just a lil cuttin' and glassin'. Somebody do a photoshop!
