Anyone know where I can find em? I've found some but not for the FX4. I'm really wanting these!

Very cool, thanks Zach. I read somewhere that if it doesn't state FX4, that some modification is needed? Didn't want a hassle.

as far as I know there is not. I cant imagine what it would be. I have them on my Edge and the hood isnt any different at that point since 01? i love these things. one of the best things i have done to my truck. it makes it so nice without a hood prop

Well since putting the desert guard on the front, its kinda hard for me to prop the hood now so I thought might be easier with these struts. Now my only problem will be getting the hood back down. Gonna need a step stool! LMAO

I was just checking out the instructions on that site, and it shows to measure down 25.5" from the rear of the hood and 26.5" on an FX4... I have no idea why they would be different?

Maybe so you don't have to reach up as high to close the hood on a slightly taller truck?

I think it depends on if it's powerdome or not. That's the differences in measurements.

Shane has them and they're sweet! I'm thinking about piecing together my own setup with stainless struts. The struts can be had for about $40 shipped. Also piecing together your own gives you the option for what rating strut you want to run. All the way up to 150lb force. Then the brackets for about another $20-30 shipped.

Ordered these last year and they're great. I have had some problems with the strut popping off the the ball mount though. Installed some on my buddy's frontier at the same time and he's had no problems.

there are small metal clips that hold it in place. Are those gone/lost/missing?

Nope they are still there. Just don't seem to hold onto it well enough.
