2002 Taurus

So my brother's hating because I ordered my underdog pulleys, and he wants them. does anyone know if they will also fit his taurus. i thought it was the same engine just side loaded. Anyone have any idea or personal experiences with trying to do this?

It's probably the 3.0 vulcan, I'm not sure if the ranger came with the duratec, or vise versa

your brother sounds like a baby. Make him learn something about his own car.

the taurus came with either the tec or vulcan, it doesn't depend on the year, it just depends on the model

the SE/SES/SEL are just trim/comfort models, i had an SE with the tec

that was a really good engine until it broke, 200hp stock, i beat plenty of ricer civics and integras, and i LOVED the look on their face when i look back hahahaha, they're all confused to hell and thinking "did that taurus wagon just beat my ***?"

haha i'm not trying to be, i'm just saying...

the difference is the duratec is a DOHC 3.0L.

our 3.0 is a cam in block.

the duratec says 'DURATEC' right on the valve cover, here's a pic of the tec, and below is a vulcan(on both engines, up until '99 the intake was metal, and from 2000 on the intake was made out of plastic, but they still look the same)

easiest way is to look at the valve cover (or cam cover) on both engines. The cam cover on the duratec is much larger with the plugs going through it, and the vulcan is a simple valve cover.
