every stoker i seen or been around was more built for high rpm power...how is it illegal if i might ask...if its for towing and what not...why not jus get a f150 or f250...and if its torgue you want big block is the way to go with a gas burner
Emissions reasons. Federal law states that the vehicle can not have a bigger engine than was an original option for the vehicle (rangers cant go over a 4.0 by that law). On newer vehicles that, in some states require OBD2 emission inspections, the vehicle will not pass inspection because the VIN on the registration and the VIN in the computer does not match (unless you go big money and have Ford reprogram your computer that way).
