I loved the looks of the '70 Mustang Boss 302 with the stripes starting on the hood, going down the fenders then running the length of the car on the sides. I have an '05 Ranger Edge Gun Metal Grey color and I was thinking of putting those stripes on my truck with a flat black and where it says Boss 302 I'd put Edge 4.6 (after I install the 4.6 down the road. Like the idea?

 

Not many trucks can pull off muscle car styling, but it's worth a photoshop atleast. I wouldn't put it on before the engine goes in though..

It's actually a $50 craigslist box that used to be a pool truck box. So it was nasty, i just scuffed it and painted it.

 

I love the low profile! One other question.. Your headlights where's u manage to find them? I can't find anything for 04 + rangers up here

 

Mod them yourself, thats what I did. Do a search for headlight mod and you'll find tons of info

 

Thanks, they are stockers that were stuck in the oven and painted. If you search 'headlight mod' you'll probably come up with the procedure.

there was a pic i saw a while back of a gen 1 or 2 ranger that had those stripes on it. i think it was on cardomain. anyway go for it. it would be different and done right could look pretty BA. did you get the 4.6 out of a stang?

 

haven't got the 4.6 yet but it will be a rebuilt out of a 2003 Ford F-150

i dont ever get a chance and the 4.3 is a pretty quick motor lol my buddy has one and he is dead set that we raced this one night even though i was heading up hill over a bridge with my cruise on 60 when he was behind me going over that and he says that was enough to prove that my truck is slow. :(

im sure i could take or at least keep up with him.
he said that if i ever wanted to race him that he would run with me at the drag strip im thinking about taking that offer. that way all i have to do is beat him to about 60 lol its a 1/8th mile
