Alright, here's how this will work. If you were me, and had about $1000 to mod your truck with....what would you do?

This is what I just posted on TRS, in my Introduction thread...what I WANT to do to my truck. What combination of these or what other ideas do you guys have?

01-03 Ranger Front End Swap
Black Headlight & Corner Mod
Powerdome Hood
06+ Mirrors, emblems
Eddie Bauer Expo Leather Seats
Expo Center and Overhead Console
FX4 Suspension Set-up (T-Bars, Leafs, etc)
8.8" 4:10 w/ LS
Herculine the rocker panels/bumpers
New Skid Plates all the way around
3" Body Lift
33" BFG AT's on FX4 LII Alcoa's (dark ones)

lol, it SOUNDS good. I just hope I can put my ideas to work and actually do them. Got anything else Trent, besides your blinker mod? lol. You're pretty damn creative.

 

i dont know much about lifts, tires, gears, etc. but i love my explorer overhead console, so +1 for that.

otherwise tinted windows maybe? hids? (if you can with your style headlight)

 

I agree with Trent, it all sounds good. Definetly sounds like stuff I would all do to my own. If you do the Ranger front end swap, keep the Mazda emblem on the grille to make people go WTF.

 

Lol....that would be SWEET!

 

You need a Mazda grille like mine though, and cut the Mazda emblem out, then transfer it to the Ford grille, which will still take some cutting, but it'll be unique. Gotta keep the Mazda badging and tailgate too. It's a Mazda B-FORD-thousand.

...hey,would your mazda grille be interchangable with mine? if so,if you ever want to get rid of it,i'll buy it. they dont make billet grilles for my style.

I have the tan interior....these seats look a little "dark" in the tan area then my stock tan.....anybody know is Mazda/Ford switched the shade of tan over the last 10 years?

Body lift it and 33's on the wheels you have now.

 

I'm hoping by summer Korey, I'm hoping....lol. I'm not in any rush to do anything at the moment. I'm just gathering ideas for the summer. Like the possibility of an 01-03 Ranger front end swap, different seats, and of course the lift and 33's like you said. Just takes money, none of which I have at the moment. =(

LOL, I might as well be jobless. I make $7.15/hr refereeing intramural sports here at my school, maybe 10-15 hours a week. Now that sounds sufficient for someone to have pocket change, but between insurance payments, gas, and college weekends, money goes quick. It sucks. lol.

Prolly what I'll end up doing first....

Anyone have any ideas on what M/T's to get? Every set seems so sweet, lol. Or I might just stick with BFG ATs. Again, I have a million ideas and a million less dollars.

 

that thing is going to be a 'franken'truck..... I'm assuming you will be keeping this truck for it's whole lifetime? I think all those things will significantly lower it's resale value? Just saying.... Have fun.

 

How about you save money for the next 2 weeks and I will cut you a banging deal on my rear bumper.
