I want to Dynamat my floor but don't have the $$$ for it. So I got to thinking...my local JY has a few Rangers with vinyl floors. I have carpet. I'm thinking of laying the vinyl down first, laying my carpet on top of it and have a quieter cab for a fraction of the price of Dynamat or other deadeners. Think it'll work?

 

I think you should just wait a while and save your money until you can afford the good stuff.

 

you wont be able to get your door sill mouldings or kick panels back on id bet. and good luck bolting your seats down

 

yea its hard enough to get my door sill mouldings back on with carpet. itll be alot harder with 2 layers

 

Yeah the rubber floors still have jute under them... i would save for the real stuff if you have the time and patience.
