Emblems

The chrome on my fender emblems are starting to peel off and I was thinking about stripping the rest of the chrome off and color matching them to my truck. Have any of you guys seen this done or have any opinions on it?

I had some left over factory paint from when i hit a deer and got my fender fixed so I sprayed that on them. I'm sure if you get some good spray paint and clear coat they would look just as good

I also put this HOW TO up: https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ad.php?t=10026
Its similar to the one you linked but with some extra info and tips that I came across while doing several emblems.

Most importantly, if you DONT want the emblem to turn YELLOWISH after a few months, then you need to use a different type of GEL. Ive read that Everlasting Elegance will not yellow out any color. Its a bit more expensive than the envirotex and I could only find it online, not in any stores.
