Few questions/opinions

I own a 1992 ranger, for those who don't know, and it is sure as hell not a looker. It's pretty beat up, but everything is repairable. Body work, sandblast, gut and redo the whole interior. I'm going to be pretty much ripping the truck apart down to the frame, and going from the bottom up. Along with my not so secret 5.0 swap. I just had a few questions before this actually kicks off.

1. The motor that I found is from a 1989 Mustang. I was thinking bolt ons, internals, turbo kit (still in the air about the kit). Pretty much keep it on the engine stand till I have it as square as I want it. The questions I had:
-Would the motor from an 89 fit?
-To the people who have done this: How snug of a fit is it?
--I'm sure I'm forgetting a few, but I'll ask as they come to mind--

2. I'm looking to do a 2 inch drop all the way around. This is a two part question: What kits do you guys prefer, and I'm going with rims so what is the "max" size I can go with no fitment issues?

3. Just for fun, is there any sponsors that offer carbon fiber parts?

That's all I can think of at the moment. I'll admit I pulled the noob move of not searching, but I was just in a typing mood. Feel free to flame. I'm a part of 4-5 other fourms so it's nothing new

Thanks in advanced to all who answer.

The 5.0 swap is very common, especially in your generation of truck. Is the block FI? or carbed? You shouldn't have any fitment issues. What tranny are you going for? C5? T56?

There is a guy who has done the swap on here, I cant remember his user name, so that isn't really any help lol

Good Luck!

5.0 swaps are becoming extremely popular, almost makes me want to do a 4.6 instead, but they're easy to make good power. 89' 302 will fit no problem, if you use the right engine mounts, engine position, front accessory drive, tucked' rad, oil pan and headers. Check here, RPS or TRS for more 5.0 swap info, there is enough around you shouldn't have to ask any questions without a simple search.

Easiest drop is drop coils/springs, next would be drop beams. You're SOL for carbon fiber unless you use the wrap/tape fabric which ricers tend to abuse.
