I know! This is my newest and favoriteist thread! I am working on gas mileage downers, as I am a scientist, even though I just work at the cheesecake factory. I am seeing if I can get my dodge below 9 MPG by the end of the week. I am running the tires low and I am flooring it from stop light to stoplight, I even shoved a dead squirrel in the intake to restrict it some. I'll report my findings.

P.S. should I or shouldn't I drag my spare tire behind my truck using a logging chain?

You should get an extra spare so you'll have two. BTW make sure they're oversized spares

hahahah... I laughed so hard here..

don't put the dead squirrel in the intake, put it in the exhaust - that way the coolant temperature will drive up and the Fuel KAMs will drive the trims up!

Thanks for the tip! BTW, I love the truck in your avatar. I would kill for something that clean... well maybe not kill, but I might pull the plug on someone who is already brain dead and doesn't want to live artificially.

you should put a button on the dash so you can wire straight 12V to your fuel injectors so you can instantly turn the cycle duty to 100% incase you want to dump all the fuel you can and shoot some flames....

Try a high alcohol / low fiber mix with direct injection.
Beware of the emissions !

Best idea for better mileage? Go build a smokey yunick style hot air engine. He built one that got like 50 somethin in a 4 cyl fiero makin some pretty insane power. Look it up, I don't know all the figures off hand, nor do I want to explain it, I'm typing on my phone but here's a link

I read that hot vapor engine article a few weeks ago. I need one. Double the power and double the mileage basically.

here i got one, have a lasso sitting in your passenger seat and just throw it, and hook onto random trucks and then shut yours down, i bet it works wonders, you should try it some time, just hold on tight, maybe wear gloves,

Be like Ford. Add another set of spark plugs. Lower right height one inch. Win.

im currently getting 11city 16 highway my truck is supposed to get 19 city 24 highway ive come to the concusuion that 31's on heavy steel wheels and runnin the a/c is sucking 8 mpgs but who knows if those numbers are right cause my speedo is off
i just bought a programmer for my truck ( Jet Performance Programmer, Jet Performance Chips & Tuners ) and there is a setting to factor in the bigger tires... mine being 31's as well... and it really makes a difference in better gas mileage, not feeling like its lagging, and it puts the speedometer back in check!

I don't know about you guys and your gas mileage but i built a hydrogen cell and produce all my fuel from water using electrolysis. The alternator makes all the power I need to do this and I get 78 miles per teaspoon. Beat that ****ers!
