Good First modifications?
So first post. What are some good first mods for a 1991 ford ranger xlt 2wd with a 2.3? Id like it to be lifted if possible but not sure where to start. also having issues with the clutch as its a 5 speed
Yes, clutch first, any other mod is useless if you can't go any where, lol.
Electric radiator fan is not as sexy as a lift or nice wheels, but removing the belt driven fan on a 4cyl will free up some power, ain't much but ain't 0 either, lol.
Also good for the Lima engines because they can run cold in winter months, with no engine fan they warm up as they should.
There are several Ford cars that have e-fans(transverse mounted engine models), that can be picked up at wrecking yards and modified to work on the Rangers.
Summit racing sells temp probes that fit into radiator fins($50), this triggers e-fan to come on and shut off automatically, temp range is adjustable to suit your needs.
