Headlight Mod Extras

Well, as soon as I get my SS Grille in, I'm going to be doing the Headlight Mod, but I've been thinking about adding a little something to them while i have them open.

It's a seeping LED bar... I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the company that makes them, but I know that Bill (04lvl2) has a set of them on his A-pillars.

Has anyone done anyhting like this? What are the measurements for a place to put something like that?

Does anyone have a link I can go to to look at the different models??

Thanks everyone.

Hmmmm. they don't show any measurement of their stuff... You think I could use a cathode light or something??? Those are usually very, verry small and since I want to mount them inside the headlights, they would more than likely fit...

Holy Dead Thread Batman!

I have to revive this one to ask some more questions...

Is there a way to wire up an LED inside the headlight to the "Theft" light in the guage cluster?

AND, would a single LED light up my headlight enough to make a defference and would it drain my battery fast?

bah never drain your battery..i have 4 LEDs in my cab for my alarm..left it on for a like 3 days while i was gone away started fine after..im sure theres a way you can tap into the main harness on teh back of the cluster that supplies the "theft" light with power..just what wire beats me..i have a wiring manual for the rangers so i can take a look see if i can find anything ill try and post back later..i wanna do the same thing! so this will make me get off my *** and start looking.!

I've seen it done before, some people have "mini" led strobes that they wire in with their alarm so they flash (very dull) when the alarm is abled.

A single LED is not going to disperse that much light, not sure what you are looking to acomplish with this. You would have to run a power feed to the led, tap the ground off the theft light and of course have your LED and resistor, that is if you don't buy a 12 volt LED.
