Interior Seat
Interior Seat
I always think that the two back seat was not a good idea to sit for a long road...So i'm wondering if someone ever try to change the seat or make something to make it better??? Any suggestion?? Pic would be appreciate...
Thanks
Thanks
Wat? Ya mean the two lil jumpseats?
I love em. People ask for a ride and I just point to the back and say, you sure you wanna take my truck?
But I've seen a 3rd bucket seat mounted sideways back there before... you could do something like that...

No I don't wanna have a 3rd jump seat but I'm wondering if someone ever do like a homemade seat for the back.I wanna make the two jump seat to sit like in the front seat. Why Ford never change the body of the ranger to sit comfortably in the back???
x2 the only reason i bought an ext. cab was for extra space never had anyone ride back there yet lol. Ive been considering even takeing my jump seats out there useless :)
yeah, all i can tell ya is get something bigger.
i took the seat out behind my seat because 1, i know i dont want to have to adjust my seat for someone to sit back there. and 2. i mounted my amp on the backwall and the sub is on the ground. no room for that seat. and the other back seat, well any of my friends that are girls are pretty small so they fit back there lol.

i am not too sure of the back of my truck, i haven't been back there (yet :D ha ha ha ha ha)
but i know i've spent a good few hours in the back of a 94? ranger, it had the seats that flip back into the side pannel with a handle on the door, and it was comfy as hell!

not saying that i haven't had 6 people in the cab before though...
Not enough space
There is not a lot you could do, the super cab is best for having more room for two rides but i can't see a sit fitting back there well besides the two sideways jump seats and no they are not comfortable. I fit 4 people in my truck and two of us are over 6 feet tall. The seats are not comfortable back there but you at least have leg room, and forward facing seat would reduce all and any leg room for both the back seat rider and the front seat. I wouldn't waste any money trying to modify those seats into something comfortable because it just wont happen. However i might turn my backseat into a collapsible video game station on the one side.
the 94ish ranger rear seats were a WAY better design, much more comfortable, and from what i remember, more head room... i don't have any in the back of mine (i tried to use it with a girl i'm seeing) not as much room as say this ranger, which my ex and I used a lot more comfortably...
i was looking to put jumpseats in the back of mine because at work our shop is like three miles from where we have morning formation and alot of the new privates dont have cars so it looks like im hauling a bunch of illegals everymorning
you couldnt really make it feel incredibly comfortable, but i have a 4dr and itd be easy to get in n out, just an idea, i wouldnt do it because i dont like when people sit behind me anyways, but if someone did do it and got it theyd possibly have storage under the bench, for subs or something, its just an idea, itd like to see someone do it
I know im late on this thread but i used to ride to school in a 97 supercab friends dad would drive me and my brother we would both sit in those rear jump seats for about 25mins... We are both 6'4"... We also had used those seats on a couple hour rides... I thought i would never be able to get out of the back of that thing.
totally off topic about how to ride in comfort, but anyone ever wonder why they never put these seats on the doors, so they can be used with the doors open? or would that put too much stress on any feasible hinge?
that would be a really cool idea
