LED Replacement bulbs in Stock tailights?

Would that work? I dont know if its been said I couldnt see it anywhere. But can I just pop some LED bulbs in there or would I have to re do the whole tail light?

yea, it can be done....just a 3157 replacement....but you will lose the amount of light that is actually being emmited in the housing.

I have never found an LED replacement 3157 bulb that is bright enough. The parking lights will be fine but the brake/turn sucks.

Alright, so this is an idea I had a couple nights ago, however I lack the basic knowlege on how this would work. Take a stock housing such as the housing from my 02 tails, and do a LED structure like on a Caddy Deville. Would this work? I know the deflectors in the inside of the lense may divert the light a bit, but if there was a way to manipulate those, could it be done?

I doubt it. the biggest thing with LEDs is being able to focus the light. the deflectors on the inside of OEM tails are made for regular light bulbs that dont have the LED problem. you probably would need to barrow something from another vehical with LED tails to make it work properly.

I have a much simpler brighter solution - L1224R bulbs - Bright Cheap Easy to install (PM me for details)
