lift idea, let me now what you think

i was thinking, i want more lift on my truck. i already have 3" susp. and 33s. i want to get about 1.5-2" more. i dont really want to get a 3" BL cuz that will look like too much lift with only 33s on.

well, heres my idea. what if i put a 3" BL on and take out the AAL and uncrank the t bars alittle or all the way??? this will give me more lift that can be controlled and a much smoother ride with the uncranked T's and AAL gone.

let me now if their are some cons to doing this, or if anyone has done this.

I don't see any cons in doing this, it would just be like lowering a Edge truck so you'd have to keep a eye on your ball joints.

i like the idea...nice was of executing it. but....as said before...you'll need to watch your ball joints...the lowers mainly. even though they are new...they still wear out. so yes, you will have to worry about those down the road.

well if you just uncrank the t bars to stock height then you wouldnt have too much lift i think it would look fine man and ride like a stock edge and the balljoints would be fine if it was at the stock height... "someone correct me if im wrong"

Don't they have 2in BL?

Or you can have some 2in aluminum spacers made cheaply and just buy the hardware separately.

Yeah I can go grab one when I go to dinner. There's sooooo much more room in there now. And being able to change the oil filter thru the wheel well on the 3.0 rocks!

You would need to leave something in the rear end to keep it level with the spindles.
