Little better security mod for my stuff

With no locking glove box or console lid, I put a little lock box in my interior. It's bolted down to the floor, it's not 100% theft proof...but it'll slow someone down atleast. Someone can't just smash the glass and grab the ipod and gps thats normally hanging around in the truck. Stuck the lock end twords the cab so it's a little more of a pain to pry on.

For $18, I feel a little better about leaving the stuff in there. Just posting for everyone else to consider a little extra security for their stuff. Toss a jacket over it and someone may not even see the thing.

Good call, I've been thinking about getting one that will fit in my center console.

You're right. However I don't need the GPS all the time. So it pretty much stays in there. I'll probably leave the iPod out most of the time. Unless I park somewhere out of the 'norm', mall, movies, bar, whatever...

I have something like that in my truck to. It works great like when I was on vacation I kept my credit card and check book in there and it was out of sight and secure.

I'd do the same, my box isn't the most secure thing. Atleast this way they'd have to get into the truck, find it, and mess with it.

Yeah, I usually keep my wallet in my tool box under my jig saw.....

KIDDING!

I want to do this in my Dodge, but the problem is that I have the factory trays that came with it, and there isn't a whole lot of room behind the seats with those....
