mazda with a stepside
mazda with a stepside
ive always been a fan of the stepside bed yea the bed is smaller but i love the look and was woundering if anyone has seen a mazda with the stepside bed and if i decided to head to a junk yard and snag one up what all would i need to get bed, tailgate, bumper and ?
i thought the stepside bumper were shorter?
sorry i made it confusing i ment to say has anyone ever seen a mazda with a stepside bed swap
nope bed is in near perfect shape minor scratches inside the bed from halling camping gear and a very small dent in the bed floor from hauling a 8KW onan generator that hade a bolt sticking out of the bottom im just thinking about future things to do to it
you'd need the bed, tailgate, bumper/brackets, and prolly the filler neck as said above, as well as the tails and any wiring associated with them. Prolly wouldn't be bad to get all the mounting hardware for the stuff too
i just looked up your projet log for a pic of the bed id love to take it off your hands problem is frieght would kill me and im looking at 1745 miles round trip if i drive it
Dammm, you must be in southern cali.....i'd be up for half ways if the price is right, given it'd be probably two day son the road down, you know....dammit.....lol, but steppies are awesome, i'm just not man enough to do it i guess.....
lol not to mention i would have to get a hitch which i wanna do anyway and find a trailer cuz theres no way in hell im piggy-backin that thing all the way back theres a ton of junk yard in bakersfield i need to go hit them up for all there goodys im sure i could find a good bed in one
as far as I know the bumpers are same width, I know the bumper brackets for a stepside and a fleet side are different, the stepside's start out wide at the bumper and then bend in to mount on the frame, and the fleet side or whatever, are pretty much strait from bumper to frame.
2000 Mazda b2500 complete restoration. Ford ranger fenders, front bumper, and step side. The b series are completely interchangeable with rangers. I did not have to use a different filler neck, the original rear bumper fits perfect. I replaced the fenders with ranger fenders because finding a b2500 at the JY is impossible around here.
