ok my 3.0 motor has just about had it i was thinking of getting a wreacked moutainerr and putting the motor and trans and about everything else that is i can in the ranger seats and dash and stuff and the rearend the mountaineer has a 302 in it so there is my V-8 i want and i was just wondoring if you guys thought it might work

it would be nice to hear about the opions on this becouse i dont want to put another 3.0 in it if i dont have to and how hard it would be and if possable i will do all the work myself no shop hate taking it to them

should work and it will be nice to have the whole donor so you can get all the electical and trans stuff as well...

that would be sweet man. id do it if i had the cash. i swear ford needs to make this an option for the rangers. i mean dudge did it with the dakotas for a while.

 

does anyone know if the mountaineer is all time four wheel or if you can change from 4 hi to 4 low

 

mountaineer 5.0s (maybe explorers too) have aluminum GT40 heads!!!! They are nice motors and i think that is what im gonna do when my 4.0 craps out... currently have 142,000 on it... hopefully will be in a couple years...
