the lens is glass. it would melt the harness before the lens.

I did it too, I'm impressed. I don't own a camera so I can't get pics. If someone could post some to show everyone that would be helpful.

Imagine a more narrow spread of the light, and the light in front of the truck being better.

all around a awesome free upgrade.

maybe i'll try the headlight bulb in the fog next

when you look at the back of the foglight housing you'll see two black tabs on the right and left side. Carefully pull those tabs out and the housing will slide out and hang down from the bottom "hinge"

I do hope someone can post pics, like I said earlier I don't own a camera, so I can't take any pics.

Step 1: Look at your fog lamp.
Step 2: Look for the metal ring around the bulb
Step 3. Imagine the ring gone.
Done.

You take apart the housing and remove the ring. It is easy.

I get that... But how is it taken apart? I'll do it, but I just want a few directions so I know what to do... Or so I don't mess anything up and break something.

Ah. I wish I could remember. I think I backed out the adjuster bolts all the way. The the housing separated and there was a screw holding the ring in place. I didn't know how to do it I just took it apart and I lucked out.

Nope. All I saw was a rubber o ring. I cleaned up the housing and the o ring and it never leaked after I put it back together. PM Alon. He might now how to do it.
