New way to nite-shade?...
well i was just thinking about the VHT after a old post that was brought from the dead..lol, andthinging of a beter wat to make them look glossy after you are done.
has anyone ever tried or thought of taking the Tails apart ike we do our headlights and then spray the inside instead, so when yer done you can put the cover back on and you'll have the glossy finish of the plastic. and it would also be scratch proof...
just a thought...

Why not just clearcoat them??? i did a basecoat clear paint job on my tails when i did the hood and tailgate, darkend up the red and gave them a nice black outline as well...
I have a question about the VHT niteshades. The company is in Australia, so are there store that have them here?
And, I was also wondering can you use anything other then Nite Shades such as
This model paint?
And has anyone done it to their headlights/front turn signals?

same idea, except use niteshade (i used black paint). If you paint the whole lens, on the inside, it'll look gray, wouldn't look right.
In regards to the original post, If you take apart the taillights (that is, if you succesfully do it, you get an extra cookie), painting the inside (the red part) would not do much, except not allow as much light go through the lense.
Now, if there is some way to get ride of the red, then it'd be awesome.
EDIT:
My tails doesn't look too dull. Maybe a tad bit, but it's not dull..

no clearcoat.
Your headlights look nice. I actually was going to buy a entire set of front black lights on ebay, but I don't have the money right now.
Here's the ebay ones
But yours look nice.

I just bought 2 cans of that VHT nightshade online and i was just wondering if any one has found a way to make the rear lights glossy. I was just reading this thread and i keep seeing that people clearcoat them and that are still not glossy. and also how dark can you make them? i was hoping to go complete black so it would match my truck when my headlight covers come in tomorrow.
