Im thinking of converting my XL front to either the 01-03 Edge grille and hood or going all out and replacing the header panel with the 04 panel and 04 hood and then getting the 06 chrome grille or white grille.

The edge conversion would be the cheapest and easiest to get parts for.

The 04-07 would take 5 years off the front end, making it look like a brand new truck.

04-07 are not the same! Its 04-05 and 06-07 I say go 04-05!

 

I personally have a thing for the 2001-2003 Ranger Edge/ 4x4 so that's what I would if I didn't already have a truck like that. The street scene mesh grille like Zabeard has looks very nice with that style of front end.

 

04+looks stupid

what are you gonna do in the future with the truck?

The 04+ looks more "macho" in a sense, with the more in-your-face grill.

The 01-03 looks better if you were going street.

IMO.

 

01to03 are the bet but th 04&05 are a little more afressive looking

The04 grille looks like a chopped up superduty wanna-be grille. looks stupid imo...

doesn't the 06/07 stx have an 01-03 style grille? they're okay....still don't like the stupid square fogs either...

well if you're doing corners I'd go with 06+corners with the headlight mod on both the headlights and corners...

The early ones are classy. The current ones have big gaps along the front hood line that spoil it. IMHO

 

01-03 is the second best looking ranger body style imho... the best is still 89-92

then im just gonna replace my white trimed clears with the black trimmed ones from underdog and the exterior will be done,, im gonna keep the bumper i have,, it works for me,,

i think the ranger's looks went down hill after 03. the 04-05 looks horrible. 06+ looks cheap and wishes it was a full size truck. go with 01-03

 

I like the 07 chome grill, its so bling, and at the same time, it has the bold in your face look. But if you are going lowered, 01-03.
