Question?
I was wondering what the purpose was for that hose running from the oil fill cap into the intake hose was for? i unhooked it and put a filter in the oil part and sealed the intake part,also i have a 05 xlt 3.0.

It is a breather for any blowby gases from combustion that could make their way through the valve seals. You might need it for inspection in some states.
