42-45 MSRP. Most dealers aren't coming off that price at all.

I'd prefer to have that Chevy Korey posted than a Raptor. Raptor's were cool when they first came out. Now they're just over rated.

They're not. A 50% street / 50% baja truck that comes with a warranty and is done RIGHT from the factory is not over rated. It's smart. I'll take one in Oxford White, with every option except the gay graphics and the even gayer tailgate bar.

Because people think that Raptors are like the kings of LT. Everybody wants their truck to be a Raptor or look like a Raptor. There's much better for much less money out there

From a dealership though? Where you have to do no work, you can just go pick it up and enjoy it. Some people don't want to have to research what setups to run and then have it sit in a shop for months while they build it. They just want to go pick it up and have fun, theres nothing else out there you can do that in.

EXACTLY! and saying you can build one for less is comparing apples to oranges here... that being bc the raptor would be brand new with warrenty and the "cheaper" one thats "better" isnt. would be something thats a weekend warrior or something and if something breaks its outta pocket. 2 different things there guys

I think basically an fx4 with the twin turbo ecoboost, and beefier, more capable front suspension, and taadaaa, perfect ranger. Then just give it a few little visual changes, and there ya go. Doesn't need that monster v8 from the f150, a 5.0 would work but I like that twin turbo deal

For the same amount of money that a Raptor costs someone could build a much better used Truck with aftermarket parts, however the novelty of buying a capable truck, with a warrenty, from the dealership is a lure for many people & Ford is the only company in that market.

To answer the original poster, a Ranger Raptor would be a cool vehicle. Ford isn't going to keep the Ranger though, let alone make special editions of it.

It would be cool if they brought back the F-100, with a 302, and a make a Raptor edition...

I see no problem in just building a ranger raptor your self, (DBR) but the allure for me is the electronics in the 150 raptor. having the different drive settings gives a lot of flexibility in how the raptor behaves, where as even a well built ranger may not be able to adapt to different driving style and terrain as easily.

this what sets the raptor apart. its not a super bad *** desert truck...tho it is capable. the driving aides(haha i said aides) in this combined with the nice suspension and trim makes it a great truck. its no one set of these things. im sure in the furtuere 150 guys are gonna find wrecked raptors and snag the suspension and body parts... doenst mean it will be a raptor.

as for a ranger... it wont happen. considering they have 2 different rangers...the north america version and the global version... too much money in other stuff for not enough pay out.

I do, as a consumer and enthusiast I like to have tools at my disposal, are all the tools needed to have a capable truck? No way in hell but like Dan said they are aides and are their when you need them or want them, its nice to have a button to push to tune down my abs and firm up my shift points, instead of having to plug in a tuner and do it all from scratch, and then turn it back on when I am done playing and I want to drive home. It adds usability to the truck.
