I think it would look good... wouldn't be too noticeable on a black truck. You should do the flares while you're at it!

I think the biggest concern would be a UV protection so it doesn't fade. This is where you want a quality product, not the cheap stuff.

Line-X would be the one to go with I think... I've got my box done with it and there isn't a mark or any fading whatsoever.

Do it.

It would look great.

Also, because it is a black truck, you wont worry about getting you color back

IMHO it will probably look like ****. linex is for high wear areas. the side of your truck, is not in that category. besides, good luck if you ever want to sell it like that. use your money for something useful, like a new CB radio or a upgraded stereo. hell throw on a intake or an exhaust. but please for the love of god, dont put rocker guard or linex on your paint.

think of it like this:

its like repainting you truck, even though your paint is fine, and not knowing how its going to turn out.

its expensive, you dont know if you will like it, and it doesnt do anything for the truck.

im trying not to sound like a dick, but honestly, i think you can do big things with little money.

A new exhaust will be money better spent. Also step bars would hide the frame nicely, and imho improve the look drastically. I hated the way my old '99 looked without them. The frame is such an eyesore...
