Truck Bed Speakers

Has anyone ever done it? Mostly looking to have some sort of outdoor speakers. For camping and when we go dirtbiking. Is there a way to wire it so they will only come on if a switch is flipped? Thinking something like these in black of course Insignia™ - 130W 2-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair) - NS-E2111

Thanks in advance Alex

personally id rather add an amp and put the speakers in the grill that way your music sounds pretty clean outside the truck if you have a sub and you can rock it all the time

I just open the doors crank the stereo up and start occasionally to keep the battery from going dead...

Just ask Trent, Scott, Joey, or Dustin they will tell you mine works great for that

Sounds like a good idea, but really almost seems like a waste,

I think that's a sweet idea.

I don't like leaving my doors open all the time

I think a custom built box, marine speakers, an amp wired to a seperate battery would work good

If it's permanently mounted it would be nice if they were waterproof

Mount them on the tool box, cut holes in the box and mount them to it

ive done it. i dont know if i have any pictures of it, but i made mine out of plywood, and it lasted 2 years, leaving it out in the snow and all. im sure you could use better materials.

what i did:

i had already installed a amp and sub in my truck. i dont know if you have one or not.

i had an extra amp, so i hooked up the speaker out RCAs to it( from my sony head unit) , and wired the power the amp i had already in the truck for the sub. i wired 6 extra speakers to the wooden bed toolbox shaped box that i made. it blasted really loud.

ill see if i can come up with some pictures.
