I'm some wut turning my ranger into an all around service truck. Story for a different post. I've seen how to make an emergency welder from an alternator and an air compressor that can be mounted in line with my serpentine belt. I seem to ne having problems with my fan clutch and from noticing how when it goes out and wont disengage that it almost feels like I'm pulling a trailer with my little 2.3 liter. I want to add these in line but I'm trying to figure out if there is a way I could add a manual belt tensionor or something cuz I'll if I do this the added stress is gonna kill my MPG and add to much wear and tear to my truck. Mainly just looking for a reason to tinker but any feedback is appreciated
