Look at my Cardomain site (link in my signature). There's a how-to on pages 2 and 3.

I wondered if I bought a sunroof could I use the sunroof version? Would it even fit, or just get the one like above?

The problem with the sunroof version is the rear mounting point -- there is none. It was designed to fit under the lip of the sunroof frame to mount. You'd have to fab up some kind of rear mounting point to make it work.

My how-to lists what you need (for the original poster) as well as giving you info on how to mount it and wire it.

Does anyone have one of these in a Reg cab without power options? Or is it sort of a waste? Also, I've been wanting to do this for a while but am iffy about resale value dropping. Is this a valid concern. I'd like to "pimp my ride" this summer, and I've always liked this mod.

my truck is pretty much a bare bones edge reg cab with no power options and a manual tranny... only options it came with was the edge plus with the 6 disk cd changer and the nicer wheels... i cant see how it would hurt resale at all... im even planning on doing the EATC sometime

Yes, I put one in my daughter's (Candice -- RangerNovice on here) truck and it's a 1998, 4 banger with no power options and not a tach even. We did get George's old single CD player to put in it though.

The OHC looks and works great. It is totally independent of all other options you have since it has it's own sensor and lights and just requires some power and the VSS signal which exists in all later model Rangers.

Hey, you're not too far off from us up here, Branson -- you ought to come to some of our meets!

Is it just sorta what's the point though? Like, I'd have a cool console and still cranking the windows. LOL. I'd like to see one in person to check it out, though.

John- This summer I have a kickass internship. I might make it up to a meet. I've been over at Gen-Edge for a long time (about 3 yrs). I'm tempted to get one and come to a meet for help installing it . It's about time I meet another member too.

Great! If I help with yours, it'll be, like, the 1000th one I've installed, lol! I've gotten pretty quick at it.

It does look nice and is actually very useful. It has nothing to do with the windows, Branson, except in your mind!
