Hey everyone. I am in the Charlotte NC area. I just pulled a running/driving 1997 ford explorer 5.0 and auto trans from a 4x4. I am looking to do the swap into my ranger BUTTTTTT. Since I would have to convert the trans to the 2wd version first, or buy a manual trans and spend alot of money tuning the explorer computer to work with a manual trans, I am thinking of just giving it up.

I guess Ill start the price at 575? It is pulled and I can sell it/deliver it as soon as this weekend once I have some time to take pics and everything.

You would be getting:

-Complete 5.0 (Missing alternator, and water pump pulley, otherwise complete)
-engine wiring harness
-4r70w auto trans (4wd version, NO TRANSFER CASE)
-Torque convertor and all that between trans and motor
-ECM
-possibly the exhaust manifolds

This is a 97, so it does not have the PATS system which would make the swap easier on someone without PATS in their ranger. I got to drive the car before this was pulled and the motor sounded great, and trans shifted smooth.

Price drop to 450 picked up, I want to reitterate that there is NOTHING WRONG WITH ANY OF THIS. I just feel like the swap would be a bad financial decision, so I want this gone. Can still meet you, but only within say 20 miles of charlotte, and at that point im not budging on price.
