So like a week ago the cel comes on. no biggy, ill look at it later, sort of thing... well finally i said screw this, and did some basics, like reset the puter.... well after 40miles it came back.

Well, i talk to D bout the code reader thing... and maybe this week end or something pull the codes on it, cause i dont got $80 for the dealer.

So tonight, on my way home from Arts house, Im like, i havent been oin the thruway in awhile, if it breaks down it breaks down... and while getting on the thruway, i noticed the temp gauge was reading a LOW temp. its 35F out, raining, i been on the road at 35mph for about 15minutes. truck should be at norm temp...

so i get on the thruway, and go from like 40-60 and notice the temp gauges moved into the hotter zone, it moved a whole needle width... and i noticed that the heat which has been on full blast the whole time, and i aint sweating my *** off like i should be, just got ALOT hotter. so, i manually switch it out of OD at 60 to make the truck work harder, and viola, heat gets hot, temp starts to get a bit hotter.... it never did get to normal running temp, even after 25minutes of driving, and driving kinda hard... put simply i had a lil fun with it... anyways i think its the thermostat... how big of a btch is it?

 

I was thinking thermostat as I was reading it as well.

I know, i know. Silver is about to catch me to now. I've been slacking this week.

 

The t-stat is my initial thought, as well, based on the symptoms. But without getting the code(s) pulled, it's really no more than just an educated guess. Do you have an Autozone (free code-reading) around your area?
