I bought two LII axles....one was an '05 w/ 38k on it an I nabbed it for $150. The other was a '02 w/ approx 98k and got it for $100...

BUT....all mine were right place, right time sorta deals. If someone was really after a Fx4 31 spline, Your price seems resonable and seems normal for what some yards want out of their axles. Good luck.

But explorers are dime a dozen.... Ranger 31spline is essencially a Bronco/F150 axle that's been shortened to Ranger width.

Please keep comments about the price to yourself...I know I sorta started it, but he did ask for opinions, but I also said it's reasonable considering the prices some yards want for their axles. And I'm definately not talking pick-n-pull yards here folks. Plus most yards don't know what they have....they just look at the axle tag or the door sticker, throw it in inventory, they don't know if it's 28spline or 31 because those numbers they get off the truck don't tell them which one it is. Their computers don't tell them that either.

I agree. I think you could get aftermarket 31 spline axles and a differential for less than the original asking price.

Keep in mind guys, the FX4 Level II axle is a unique larger diamerter housing as well. Not just 31 spline axles and a Torsen LSD thrown in a standard ranger housing. This has the F150 size tubes and big bearings. In my opinion, his original asking price was very reasonable, considering a Torsion will cost you $400 plus and the rest of the assembly is strong as hell! At $450 it is a steal. If I didn't already have 3 of them, I would pick this one up too!

450 still seems expensive for a axle that will still need 100 dollars thrown into it

Explorer is larger bearing, but also not a bolt in. Slightly wider and needs spring pads welded on top. Explorers either had open or traction lock. No Torsen - that was only ever offered in the FX4 Level II.

OK on what is thought about and what is... but if you decide to drop the price I will come up a little.

We can talk about pickup and what ever later.

Let me know if anything changes.

Not trying to be a pain but money is tight all around and this axle does need work.
I’m willing to pickup.
Any thoughts on the pricing ?

Thanks,
Happy Holidays
