Our towing service drug in an Explorer (approximately 1998) that rolled over and cave the roof in pretty good. The 5.0L Engine and the 4x4 auto transmission were undamaged and are being offered for sale. The mileage is around 170K. We can pull the parts but they will be available for local pick up in Deer River, MN. No shipping. I can however bring them to the Minneapolis/St Paul metro for $100 to cover fuel.

Based on Salvage Yard prices I feel this to be a fair price. Parts are used so they are sold as is but the truck ran good when it rolled over and it apears to be clean and well kept.

 

Good deal ROOT. I hope someone can ****** this one up. Great engine swap. I've got a 98 Mountaineer. Those drivetrains are AWESOME. 215HP. I believe it's the same motor they put in the Mustang GT's that year.

 

Thanks for the comment. I'm hoping someone can make good use of the parts before I have to haul the explorer to the crusher to make room for paying customer's cars.

 

Do you still have these items? and if so will you part with the whole truck?

 

Yes I still have it. I would be willing to sell the whole SUV together except without a rearend. The rearend is already spoken for by my hot rod. I was going to part out the rest of the truck and scrap the body but if the offer was right I'd let you drag the whole thing away. It doesn't have a title though since it was towed in with the intent to crush.
