I am looking for a 3.0 for my 98 ranger. I need one bad and cheap and close to where i live. Let me know what yall got

 

I have the whole truck with 3.0 it an 04 Ranger Edge wrecked in front see it in trucks for sale

I got a 3.0 out of a 2003 edge with 95k on it. It's still in the truck. I'm located in Fayetteville GA

I dont see why not, but chances are your going to need the wiring harness and possibly the ECU.

 

well when i looked at it this evening when i got off it looked all the same the wires will come with it but where the sparks plug wires goes they moved it to the pass. side of the motor. i just hope it does work i need it bad

it looks like the long block is the same for all model years. you might just have to swap your intake, accessories, and exhaust manifolds. That's what i understand from reading on several forums.

 

You should just go ahead and upgrade, and by my 4.0. :)
I got everything you need to make it work, except a dipstick. lol

I want the 4.0 gone. PM me with an offer zach if you really are interested. It ran great when i pulled it about a month ago and it's been stored in my shop since then. I have every little thing you will need for it. Besides the dip stick and dip stick tube that i sold to fellow member. But i can go get you one from the junkyard and slap it on there before i ship it.

Idk, we've been talking a little. Definately doesn't mean it's sold though. I consider it sold when someone makes an offer and we agree and they send me some money to ship it. :)
