Wanna trade/buy a white 01-03 grille for my 05 Edge. Im in 909/951. PM or post pics

 

Are you doing a complete front end swap? If so, the 01-03 will not work on the 05 unless you change hoods as well and maybe a few other things. The 04+ Ranger Hoods have a vutout in them to allow for the grille, whereas the 01-03 do not.

 

yeah, got a hood lined up I think...so now I need a grille. Looks like thats the only things I need to change. The hood donor truck doesnt have a grille, lights rad support or anything else...just hood :(

 

Don't you need a header panel?? I did when I swapped from 01-03 to 04+

 

You need the 01-03 header panel as well

I have an 01 Edge grill and header and im wanting the 04+ grill and header but mine is blue.

what about the hood? they are different too.

The 01-03 grille/hood/ will not fit the 04+ you would need to convert to a 04+ header panel to be able to except the newer 04+ grille. The powerdome hood is shorter on the 04+ rangers as it was made to allow for the top of the grille to fit. As posters have already said these are the changes and items that you need.


I have a 04+ grille red/black honeycomb inserts. its now sanded professionally and primered to except any color. lmk if ya need it.

 

Ive got an 05, wanted the 03 grille....not doing it if it requires that header panel too, not worth it $ wise now. Might do a simple billet grille to cover up the nasty bars. Thanks guys!

 

header panels are easy. i will get one at the yard for you. last week their where 3 their. i will go on monday next week and see if they still have it. i can get it free. just pay shipping and its yours.

 

Header panels are the cheapest part, you can get them for 40-50

 

how much you think that will cost?

I have to fix a couple dings on the donor hood :( already going over my budget a bit...all this to make my truck look older Id like 03 front end, 06 mirrors/tails/badges/corners too.

 

the header will be free if they have it and since you are in Cali than shipping or picking up should not be a problem. you should go look at my for sale thread and let me know what you need. i got ya Cali neighbor.
