'05 Tailgate (Grey)

Like New condition. Replaced the OEM gate with an air-gate. $100 +shipping from SW OH.

ditto. you will need it when you sell the ranger later on.

X2 ... You'll also use more fuel with the airgate too.

i thought it would be less. more aerodynamic

it'll def be less fuel, but im with them too, keep it, it may be a PITA to store, but you'll be kicking yourself down the road...

actually with out the tail gate the air flow pushes down on the back of the truck (kinda like a wing does to a car) oppose to in a circular motion with the tail gate up, and that circular motion allows the airflow to go smoothly over the back of the truck with less drag.

Ok well guess i was wrong looks like mythbusters redid the tailgate up/down episode and got diff numbers

and mesh is the way to go

my only complaint is i wonder if they used the same truck as in the original tailgate up/down episode

That's what I'm talkin about ... I never heard of Myth Busters redoin that thing.
