Custom Dakota Digital cluster retrofit - ME

I'm just seeing if there is any interest out there for this.

I've got a Dakota Digital VFD3-ORIG6 currently installed in another cluster housing, but I can retrofit these to another housing and make a new blackout lense if someone is interested. The lense completely blacks out when the vehicle is off, and everything lights up blue when on. These have a small computer box (a little smaller than an engine control module) with a long ribbon cable to the gauges them selves. The hookups to the box are individual inputs, just as with any aftermarket gauges.

I'm looking to get $800 plus shipping for the setup as it is, but if someone wants it retrofitted into another cluster, I'll do the work for an additional $50 plus the cost of the cluster core (or you can send me one). The cost to order this new from DD is $1200 plus shipping.

It has less than 25 miles on it. It can also be sent back to Dakota Digital and have your mileage put into the odometer for a small fee, but I don't know off the top of my head what this is.

Note that the labels do not actually light up. I believe that image (from the Dakota Digital wesite) was of a prototype. The lense has engraved labels.

LOL. Yeah, this is going to be for someone with a street truck. Since lifted off-road seems to be more common here, I'm guessing it's not likely it'll sell to a Ranger owner, but since I'm on the site, I wanted to post it up and see.

I figure that someone like Torkit would be interested. Someone that goes all out on their interior.

This looks great. Do you have anymore pictures? I am seriously considering this.

I've got a couple of it out of the vehicle. I just tried to upload them on the mobile app, but it won't let me. I'll post them later.

Here are a couple of pics of the unit outside of the vehicle, both powered up and unpowered, plus the controller box that it goes with. Let me know if you need any more info on the unit.

How does this hold up with mild offroading?

I honestly don't know, but since the digits are vacuum fluorescent, they're glass tubes, I'd think it's probably risky installing in an off roading truck.

I've never seen these before. Look pretty cool. If I had known about these before I bought my gauges, I definitely would've considered these.
