DUAL COLOUR LED DOOR LOCK INDICATORS

long story short, i have come up with a system that will allow any vehicle in the world, to have an LED to show if the door is locked or unlocked... all you need previously installed is automatic locks (most models) some models don't even need that... this system is specifically designed for the ford ranger, but will give an OEM look to any vehicle that uses the small round locking pin indicator on the top of the door...

or this one which has a little more detail on some parts of it
https://www.ranger-forums.com/f54/du...09/index3.html
please note that the prices on these threads are not correct

full kits starting at $50 shipped, this will include full installation details and instructions (online) and of course the ability to contact me for any problems

all kits will be tested fully before being shipped out. there are 2 vehicles currently running this kit, both owners are satisfied, one being me, the other, 01RangerEdge, who got my early kit, which was not nearly as professional looking as the current kit is.

please post in here with your name and that you have ordered a kit, send all payments via paypal to myself, the_drumer_of_doggle@hotmail.com

if you have any questions, please refer to the link above, before posting. please post in the other thread if it is not directly relevant to the sale

to all those who are curious, i have gotten all the parts required in, but i have not started assembly yet. I will ship orders out as they are completed and of course as quickly as i can (demand will slow me down)

pictures below, i have no shots of it with the green on, but all kits can use the colours red, green, and blue, in either the locked or unlocked position as well as off in the locked or unlocked position

It works awesome, be aware that you will have the modify the switch arm. I bent the arm at a 90 then had it hooked to the latch.

Its a very simply install, the only tough part was finding a power source. I used the mirror control on the drivers side, like weezl, and i used my 12V outlet on my dash for the passenger.

Also note, be careful running wires, make sure nothing is loose that your window will catch.

switch arm of the switches supplied in the kit, not any of the parts that are already on your truck

justin, if you get a chance to take those pics, post em up in the first thread, it's the top link in post #1

I am thinking about doing this, but relocating the light and keeping the door locks intact. Nobody will know what the led lights are for, except me. I am also thinking about replacing my cluster lights with leds like others have don, now that mine have started to fail...:) new switches for fogs and off road lights will get leds to show power on, etc

The door locks stay intact, you mean the door pin that goes up and down?

I guess you could move the light somewhere else, but i can't seem to think of a better place.

bump, and price drop... because of the overwelming interest, i have been forced to drop the price to get the ball rolling... the first 5 sets i sell, will be $30, as origionally advertised, after that the price will go back up, not entirely sure at this point to what...

as right now the parts sitting at my house, i'm out a couple hundred
