Price comparison, a Canadian dealer has the trans shifter for $400+. I called my dealer after seeing this post.

Would you be willing to separate? I don't have a need for the t-case.

You said your Dealer has the Trans shifter, you mean the lever not the Boot ?
And what did he say, you buy and what does the $400 include ?

At this time I will not separate but will return to this posting as a list if I do not sell them.

From what he said, I took it as shifter was $400. I have my own leather aftermarket boot. So if I'm reading this right, your selling both shifters and ***** for almost $600.

So I'd still have to find a shifter? $275 for a **** and a boot?

Right now I am selling the boots and the ***** as sets.
A friend has the first refusal if I decide to sell either cheaper or separating and if he refuses then IF/WHEN, I will return to this list and start asking by who said what first.

Again, anything you can get from the Dealer is good and if you can get them cheaper than what I am asking, again go for it but I will be leaving the prices and sets as is for a while.

where did you get these?

Do you know if using some type of polish will get scratches out of them?

I got these from Ford for another project but decided to another route and as 04RD stated no scratches in these, new stuff all the way.

And if you are talking about ***** that you have and are scratched... Sand with fine sandpaper, maybe start with 600 wet and then 1000 or 1500.
Then start polishing.

buff them with a polisher like you would on scratched paint, works flawless, anyway, back on topic. :p

How do you think they polish things.

Even a Polishing Paste has a grit in it, fine yes, but it is there.

When you polish an object you start by removing the scratches you can see by making them smaller, then when buffing, even that has an abrasive nature and little by little removes plastic.

So yes “sandpaper” sounds bad but using 1500 or 2000 grit wet paper it will surprise you.

if you have a buffing wheel setup use it but the other method will work.

On second thought, forget I said anything… if you F-them up I don’t want to held responsible.

luck with the polishing.

Dangit I wish I could drop that kind of coin for the boots. I need 'em bad. The two pairs I have are kinda hard and feeling brittle, and one set's clips are so very mangled. I'd do 150 on the boots if you'll entertain the offer. lol.

While ya'll might choke on the prices, it's really not that bad. MSRP on just the shift ball is $149 if memory serves me correctly. And as of about 1.5 years ago, there wasn't any of the components listed in this feeler available in the country from FoMoCo. Even in the NOS warehouse in Wisconson(I think that's where that place is?).

Hey, good to see you back and thks for the bump and promo.

I will let you know.
What I need to do is review what I got them for and if the price was that a year ago I will have to raise my price a little… lol.
