1934 ford

friend and i picked up a new project, 1934 ford pickup.
331 caddy v8 mated to a hydramatic auto tranny.
should be a fun project. the plan is to do a way with the rat rod look and make it more of a street rod.
crappy cell phone pictures

sweet deal... i was just wondering because my dad has been looking for a '30-'34 ford tudor sedan/coupe for a project.this isnt his car as he doesnt have one yet but this is the style he wants.. he already has a 5.0L, diffs, dash, running gear, etc. we cant find any thats less than like 10,000 bucks..

UPDATE

so we got the body about as good as we were going to get it. so we began priming the truck. My friend who owns and is funding the project wants to paint it white...im still argueeing with him that white wont look right. im using a mac spray gun and we picked up a car port and modified it a little to make a decent paint booth. anyways on to the pictures.

Looks like a good start for sure. Are you planning on moving the front tires back more? I've never been a big fan of the rats with that really stretched front end.

the ugly tail lights and stupid scoop on the carb are going to be taken off as soon as we have the parts to replace them, im attempting to convince him that some recessed led tail lights would loook really goood. and all the red will eventualy be painted black, and it will have white walls in the future

Looks awesome! I would drive that thing every day. I agree some recessed LEDs would clean the rear end up

AWESOME job guys, age ain't got nothin to do with it, just need the initiative to do it and accomplish it.

IMO, I'd loose those headers in lue of some zoomies, leave the engine red, as it's unique bein a Caddy, and top it off with a polyurethaned oak floor in the bed.......
