Sup guys,

Haven't posted in awhile, been busy as hell. Anyway, for XMAS I'm finally going to paint my damn fenders. But there's a lot of cracks and **** in the way that need to get fixed first. Working on getting the required crap to fill in the cracks and then going to get a sander and go at it. And yes I'm doing the fronts too, but I had to take off my rears for now because the support mounts snapped off.

I'll keep you guys updated on my progress. Sorry for ****ty cell pics, but I'll get a better camera by the time it's done. Any feedback or suggestions are welcomed as this is my first attempt at doing this ever, and I'm kinda lost. Also I'm driving around like this cus I still gotta get to work :P Hopefully the popo don't bother me.

got any before pics?? even if the fender are laying on the shop floor.. haha.. what kind of material are they?? plastic, f-glass, sheetmetal?

You can see on the second picture the fat crack I have on the rear right fender under the light. I tried to patch it up in the past but couldn't sand it too good cus the bumper was in the way.

They are all fiberglass.

 

sweet.. ya i have a dent in the same spot on my truck.. backed into a tree and pushed the stock rear bumper into the sheetmetal.. truck looks good.. i like the prerunner style.

Sweet man, I finally got some fiberglass fenders too, but I'm getting mine painted right away! LoL I hope to get my truck back next week sometime. JW what brand bedsides/fenders are you running?

 

well at least for now its easy to fill the gas tank haha.

UPDATE:
Spent the weekend sanding down both front and rear fenders till they were soft as a baby's butt. Used 220 first then 320 Wet on the jitterbug. I got a few cell pics but didn't get anything else. Fenders are currently getting repaired and getting the final prep before paint.

UPDATE:

Fenders have been completely restored, all cracks have been patched and all fenders sanded like a **** then wetsanded and primered. Also installing a new hole to mount my gas filler up to my fender again, finally.

Fenders currently being painted in the shop and will post pics asap.
