i think i am going to swap the entire motor due to the holes in the block for oil to the turbo, and the forged internals and stuff

UPDATE

new grille is on and new hood is on. hood is kind of iffy, had it painted at the Maaco by my house, they forgot to fix the dents in the center but oh well...also the exhaust is done, comes out the side with a 24" walker muffler, its a little louder than i wanted, but by losing the converter i went from 17-21 mpg. i drove it to deathbypsi's house to get the hood at the ohio border and got 31mpg

!!!!....ive been wanting a lowered single cab ranger. I was debating about a recent year model or older.....and this thread just made my decision for me

in conclusion to this thread, i sold the ranger for the fairmont on 7/11/10 to one of 5Speedin2.3's friends....last i heard it needed an oil pump and he was driving it every day from pinckney to livonia area with the oil light on...ill say it in advance unless it is already happening R.I.P 88 ranger, no one will ever treat you like I did...the end
