I love the look lol.
And nothing I've read about them recently has been bad. Aside from your post lol.
Reviews from years ago weren't the best, but they must have changed something since all the recent reviews are great. When did you have yours?
And they can't be that loud. Mud grapplers are loud lol. These don't look like they'd be loud. As for street handling, they're mud tires. Of course they won't be the best lol. Siping will help in rain/snow. I'm not worried. But time will tell.

If he likes the look, then that's all that matters. I've got a buddy who runs them in a 33x12.5 on his LT taco.. The only reason he got them was because he got a really good deal on them lol but he ended up thinking that they weren't that bad

finally got my rear bumper lifted up to the right height. no more looking like a loser with a bumper hanging 3" to low.
frame is all done to. rust wont be an issue....
did the wheel wells also. its a rubberized asphalt undercoating. stays flexible but its hard to the touch. it really brought down the noise from rocks to.
now i just gotta do the hitch

Idk if Shane ever had those tires anyways.. I think his friend trepaul86 did.. I found this out doing a little searching.. It really depends on who you're talking to.. Anyone from where I live says that toyo mt's are absolute **** off road but a lot of guys on here like them.. So it's all that idea.. haha people are always going to talk bad about tires no matter what tire it is lol

Toyo mt are great off-road. Just way to expensive IMO.
My tires are on their way. Hopefully I can get them on before I leave for my weekend vacation. Still need an alignment so we shall see. Places are pretty booked on weekends and working midnights makes it tough to get it in during the week.

well i had these quick fist clamps sitting in my room for almost a year. plan was to use them to mount my shovel in the bed. well, i finally go around to it lol.
due to all the weird bumps and humps in the bed i had to do one on the side, and one kinda on the edge of the wheel well. but it works.

Instead of quoting multiples...
I had the Hankook MT's on a Toyota before the Ranger (so almost 10 years ago) and Trevor had 'em on his Ranger from new til almost dead....just noting my experience with them. I wasn't aware they redesigned them? They look the same.
In regards to hitch lift.....then plated on outside.

About the hitch, that's how I did my second one. My first lifted hitch was a no-plan no-thought-at-all deal where I just butt welded it all together on both sides. She was showing some cracking a few years later after some use. Re-did it the way I did the .gif with a v-groove on the inside, ground outside smooth, plate covering all welds with 360 fillets and plug welds for good measure. I didn't want it to crack again. Tacked it all together on the truck this time too.

I'll have to make templates with the diagram for my buddy to weld it for me.
Honestly it doesn't look super bad the way it is. Still bugs me though so I'll get it done ASAP.
Still need to get those blocks welded in to support the bed to. Should I get those welded to the frame or to the bed?

Is rather be safe then sorry lol. I carry weight in there for winter. And with the shitty roads we have in the winter that weight will be bouncing a little bit for about 4-5 months. I have the blocks, can get them tacked for free, so I figure why not.
I know their probably not needed, but with that weight sitting right in the middle of the bed were there's nothing to directly support it kinda makes me wanna tack em in.

Anyways, if you're going to put the support blocks in, definitely tack them. I have read about them moving around when you do the sandwich technique haha

It seems I've left out the fact that it wasn't smart for me to do what I did....I honestly didn't even think about it at the time til it was all done and over with. LOL.
But yeah, you'll want to run those. Sandwiching them allows you to securing them during the tack process....and if you don't tack them, you can rotate them but not remove them.
