Mike is right. If extra height is one of your goals I'd forget about flipping the hanger. Ditch the stock block, add the deavers, and the belltech 6400 shackles and you should get a couple inches of lift. The longer belltech shackle will get you a tad bit more travel as well.
Thanks for the input guys. I really appreciate it. All the "research" I've done on the Deavers since y'all brought them up and the info you've given is definitely leading me to get Deavers when the time comes. The truck budget has grown a little since my fiance and I decided to cut back on what we had originally planned for the honeymoon, so this may get to happen sooner rather than later lol

Finally finished up the headlights tonight. Just been waiting on the ep27 relay to come in. Can't believe I forgot to get one until last week Onto pic whoring!
Parking lights on (I'm using switchbacks):

Thanks Andy! It still has some work before it's truly "road ready" but I took it out around town yesterday for a little while since I'm out of the city limits and know the most of sheriff deputies around here. It ran great, but I know there's definitely going to be some improvement once the tune gets dialed in.

Mike from MPT just sent me his next revision of the tune. I should be able to run the data log for it tomorrow evening and may take another test drive around the neighborhood while I'm at it.
Also getting the windshield replaced tomorrow, which is the only thing that's keeping me from being able to get a current inspection sticker. Then I'll be legally road-ready

Thanks Sam!
Wiring work came to a halt tonight when I ran out of solder, so I'll have to pick some up tomorrow after work. Also ordered enough on Amazon that I should never have to buy more for the next 10 years, but I have to wait til Saturday for it to be here lol

Yeah I'm using an iron. Just a little 40W Weller iron. That's the only way I've ever done it. I had to do a couple of strain gauges in my statics class. Wheatstone bridge?
#418
We did that but we also had to mount them on a soda can to measure the pressure change when the can was opened up.

Nice. I think next week we are mounting some strain gauges on some tube steel to measure strain while we pressurize the inside with hydraulic fluid and apply a torsional load

Been awhile since I've had an update!
Finally got my wiring issues straightened out. My brake pedal switch was worn out, and I was also getting water in the tail light harness which was causing it to short out. Put in a new switch, cleaned and sealed the harness, and the lights are back online.
Also found I had a big coolant leak once the engine warmed up. Turned out the bolts on the thermostat housing had vibrated loose just a tad, and it was leaking out of the gasket.
I still had most of the interior out while doing all of the wiring troubleshooting, so I got busy this evening on getting it back in. Got the plastic trim, headliner, and sub box put in. I put the OHC in, but I'm tired of screwing with adding wires right now, so it's not hooked up. I'll get back to it eventually lol. Still have to put in the center console, visors, passenger seat, head unit, and get the exhaust done, but that's pretty much everything. I'll get pics of the interior tomorrow.
Decided to take a few videos yesterday and tonight since it's been awhile. Still running great, but tuning is still in progress so it'll only get better
My buddy that helped me with the wiring driving it for the first time:
His 5.0 Mustang. Stock except for the Rousch exhaust with an h-pipe and a tune. He just bought some bronze wheels for it today.
Driving it tonight:
Playing with the gauges. The speedometer still hasn't been calibrated so I'm really only doing about 55 in the video lol

The future exhaust setup also consists of no cats and 3" pipe, but it'll be run all the way to the back, so it's definitely going to be different compared to what it is now. My guess would be about the same volume (maybe a bit louder) with a deeper tone and not as much drone in the cab.
