Swap Help!!...Rear Diff...96', 8.8", 3.73 Open, 28 Spline, Drum Brakes
Hello!
I am new to the ranger forums. I heard this is a great place to get help.
I have a 96" Ford Ranger XLT, 2.3L 5 Speed.
I currently have a rear differential Code(86)...7.5" Open 3.73 with drum brakes. I recently found a 2010 Ford Ranger 4x2 XLT, 3.0L Auto...8.8" Open 3.73 with disc brakes Code(96) on craigslist and purchased it for $200 yesterday. I want to swap the 2010 rear with the 1996 rear and put a Ford Performance Torsen Differential M-4204-T31 in the 2010, 8.8"...Link>(https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fms-m-4204-t31).
My question: What do I do about the RABS (Rear-ABS) on the 96', because the 2010 had WABS?...I am 24 years old and have a Associates of Applied Science in Electrical Technology, I currently am pursuing an Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. I have a decent understanding of automotive knowledge...I have a lot more to learn, my brain is a sponge.
Any additional input would certainly help!!!!!
Thank You,
KDietrich
