The plan is to work on the engine and the mechanical aspects first leaving the body for last. Right off the start I know I'll need a new carburetor as the current one leaks, I plan to replace the fuel tank as this truck was just sitting in the weather and most likely rust issues. Later I'll get a new driver side mirror the current one is cracked and windshield, new weather striping all around as the current striping is dried and breaking off. I just need your guys expertise to help get the project rolling I love this model of ranger and got it for a couple hundred I want to get it running so I have something other than my 96 4.0L extended cab to drive. New to the site any forum etiquette that I should know or if there's a better place to post this please just leave a comment. 360 V8 5.9L Broken cover for cab light Plan to reupholster the bench Tail gate is broken, disconnected from the clips it still opens but you have top pull the lines that should connect to the handle The bed is completely rotted out the previous owner had this piece of plywood over it any suggestions on how it should be covered until a new bed is in place would be great Rust spot on the driver side of the hood appreciate any advice on how to fix it the paint is gone but hasn't really eaten away the metal yet. Prior to 1983 Ford used the "Ranger" name as a Trim Package, not a Model, so you have an F100 with Ranger trim
Our forum has info on the 1983-2011 Ranger Model, which is a smaller truck and completetly different power trains, so outside of general mechanics not specific to any vehicle there won't be alot of info we can share with you
