looks good haha, I tried to offer up some mounting services

But for a roof mount with a smaller bar like that, you really don't have many options besides mounting it to a roof basket etc. A 50" can be mounted in the door jams by some easily fab'd brackets. Hit a brutha up next time and I'll see what I can do for a fair price :)

So did some research. My truck has the 8.8 with 4.10's and an open diff. How common is an expo 8.8 with disc brakes, 4.10s and a l/s? My local pull a part has tons of expos.

I'm pretty sure there are some floating around.. You're gonna want to rebuild it anyway IMO so if you cant find one with 4.10s don't let that discourage you from getting one

Yeah my plan is eventually putting an e locker in it so either way I'll probably have apart before it goes in. At least I'd like to.

Save up and get an ARB and then rebuild the whole axle. That's what I would do

You basically bake your headlights and take them apart and paint the chrome inside black. There's a how to somewhere.

If I had 01+ I would buy instead of diy for the same reason.

Be careful with the ebay ones. The reflective piece in the one I got was bouncing around inside of mine.. ended up having to bake it and re-seal them anyway. They are crap. I would find cheap junk yard ones to practice on modding.

Going to pick up a set tomorrow for 50 bucks. Gonna try the black if I like it I'm gonna try and retro projectors and maybe halos.

What do I use to paint it? Should I get like a black chrome kit?

It's plastic so I would recommend Krylon Fusion black.. up to your whether you use flat, satin or gloss.. doesn't really matter.

Well picked up the lights and got right to work.

Alot easier than I thought. Biggest thing i Think is take your time and don't be scared to use plenty of heat.
I will paint them tomorrow after work

It's about the quality of the lens itself. I should try to get a close-up picture of how terrible mine look now.

When they look like crap, I'll clean them up, sell them and get another set. They're nodded with LED panels that work with the turn signal mod, so I'd hope they'd sell pretty quick

Can you post pics and a description of how it's wired?

It was a pre fabbed panel I found on eBay. It was designed for an RV. Works great though, no problems so far

Make sure you clean all of that old adhesive off of there and use a good silicon adhesive to seal it back together fully and correctly. Don't half-*** or rush this or you will end up with moisture inside the lens... ask me how I know.

I'm not I'm going to cut that old gasket think out with the Dremal and clean it well. And make sure everything is as close to perfect as it can be.
