HaHaHa...Well great Minds think alike!

I used the 3m glue on the armrest and it turned out good but just be careful that 3m spray glue is a pain in the *** and not trying to get it on material! I only used 1/4" staples on the door panel part turned out a lot better. Very little creases on the corners.

Yea I'm a little worried too. I am pretty confident it won't though. I cleaned it up with Acetone, Sprayed on the adhesive promoter, then the paint color. I'm going to let the paint sit for 24 hours, then tomorrow after work I will spray on a few coats of Clear coat then let it sit for a week or so before I reinstall it for use.

Looks sick, I wanted to do suede as well but no one around here carried black. I really like that silver, might have to steal that idea lol. Looks great man!

Thanks man. It's going to be an on going process with the painting. I'm taking my time to get it too look nice and last a long time I hope. I just went to a local fabric/yarn store and asked the sweet elderly lady if they had black suede. Sure enough they do. It was about $20 for yard of it and enough for everything I need plus more! If you would like some I can get some for you if you can't find it anywhere in your area.

Here's a little preview of my painting project for my interior. Got the passenger door panel pretty much done. Just need to add 2 more coats of clear coat to the window switch panel. I think it looks pretty killer. I'm getting my Explorer Dash Bezel modded up and ready for paint!

Trent, try Walmart. They have black fake suede for really cheap.

Jordan, I'm going to probably use the 3m stuff and staples for the door panels. I LOVE how your door panels look, I wish my interior was black sooooooo bad. That black and silver combo looks perfect too. I have two questions for you, how did you get the door pieces off? I remember they look like they are plastic welded on the inside. Did you just drill it out? How do you plan on reattaching them?

Yeah I'm taking my time on this project. I will be rolling around with half an interior for a while. The fabric piece is connected with the plastic rivets or welds. I just took my blow dryer to them and used a screw driver to carefully pop it off. I am going to use 1/2" self taping sheet metal screws and just screw it back onto the panel that way. I'm not going to mess with remelting the little plastic pieces. I want to order up my speakers and my passenger side 06+ powered mirror. I want to avoid having to remove the panels more then once after I get them painted.

my explorer bezel in the works. My third layer of bondo after sanding down in between layers. I hope this is the last layer. I will need to go to Auto Zone and get 2 new 12 volt adapters. This has been a week long process in between work and other things. It's coming along great though.

Nice! Did you mod the second hole for the fog light? I was thinking about doing it to mine but I messed my stock bezel up already and found an inexpensive Explorer Sport one on ebay. Then I bought Justin's(RangerJustin) off of here to grab the extra fog switch and vents. What type of paint did you use on it? My finished window switch panel isn't glossy like yours might look like. I only sanded it down with 300 grit. It has a slight texture to it. I like your center console front cubby and cupholders painted. I think it might be too much silver and black for me; but when it's all done I can see if I like it or not.

TrePaul is a bigger ***** than i am! lol.

His console and bezel are pretty dang glossy...i'd compare it to an automotive body finish.

LoL...Well I might get the same smooth finish since I'm sanding the **** out of the bezel to get off all that nasty rubber coating crap that ford put on it.
