FX- 8 It Begins.
So I finally got the cab on and with all of the body lines lined up... Only thing tho is that the rear cage is now is 2 inches above the cab. It's not the end of the world but it looks a bit off. I might put a light bar under it or something this way it can still be functional.

Finally got the front started. I have the sides of the engine cage done and started the bracing. I have the engine sitting roughly were I want it.

And the front of the frame turned out perfect. All that's left for the front once thisis done is a stinger, winch, and lights.

Anyway that's it for now.
Cheers
Chris

No the plans are to mount the light behind the grill, and mount the winch behind the grill as well but have the rope come out from the 3/4 gap between the frame and the grill. But I won't make any decision's like that until I can roll out the truck and get a good long look at it.
Did you Try L&A in Lincoln, they can build damn near anything you want.
nice build by the way, I'm origionally from just outside Fredericton, moved to Ontario 2 years ago.
I would love to come and see this beast of yours in person when I come home for Christmas.
maybe even make a deal with you to fab up a push bar for my truck with your tube bender.... extra cash to put towards your truck.

heading from Oromoct to fredericton on the Lincoln Rd. they will be on your left, just before Wheelers accessories (on right)..... ummm... next street past them would be Glasier Rd. on left.... then the lincoln Esso on Right. on the right between the esso and Wheelers is Papa Georgio's pizza and also a large yellow warehouse with tons of junk and vehicles in the yard. L&A is kinda back in the woods a ways, if you are sitting in that yellow warehouse yard, you can look across the street and see L&A back there... Blue building I believe.
As for Christmas, I believe we are comming home around the 7th, and staying until just after new years. Gonna drive my truck home this time cause 1600 km is safer in a 4x4 ranger than in a rwd Cadillac CTS lol.

Just pm or email me some pics of what exactly you are looking for in regards to a push bar and I will get the ball rolling.

Bit of an update. Was planning on getting a lot done today but for some dame reason I am dead tired. plus I ran out of welding gas again. So here's what I managed to get done.
I went to Home Depot last night and picked up 4 steering caster wheels so i could make a roller from to slide under the boat sides. I was going to make a custom frame to do this but when I was out behind the shed watering some flowers I seen my old welding bench back there. So I cut the legs off flipped it upside down and welded the casters to the table frame.

Once I rolled it out side I started to burn in some of the gussets I had made for the rear cage.

And I clamped on a rear quater panel to see roughly what it will look like finished.

No I am not going to have them angled. they are just hanging there for now and attached with a C-clamp. Once I get everything all said and done I will have them properly supported so that they dont hang like that.

I was hoping that you wouldnt dovetail the bedside to that extreme angle lol.
You said that the bedsides wont be angled that much, but are you going to dovetail the bedsides any?

Now that I was able to get it out of the garage and stand back and have a look. I like it as well. Glad it turned out the way it did.
